This is great new real-time card strategy. I’m assuming it is a combination of a single-player card game and the rogue-like games with the essence of tower defense.
The objective of this game is to explore the simple brunched dungeons. During the wandering, you collect the new cards and relics in order to strengthen your party. The first impression of the game is a real-time slay the spire, but this is not turn system.
The effect of cards is carefully designed to overcome the enemy. You can easily happen the chain and combo, but be obstructed without the coherent strategy. The balance between defense and attack is mostly controlled by the game designer, but I need to feel more thrill in the battle. I hope the developer will update the game balance. (Note.: the designer announced that he is going to update every day in this month! )
In the first play, I missed some essence of strategy because I focused on my hand only. However, I need to think the playing order of the cards with the increasing of the number of deaths. A mistake of playing order will make the unnecessary damage, so I need to optimize the playing order in the limited time. The playing is easy, but the optimization of the playing is complex and deep in this game.
My favorite is the chain combo of the Alpaca brothers. I can easily make a big crowd of the alpacas using the combination of some relics and upgrading. The alpaca crowd fills the battle field and attack the boss. I feel fun through making the animal crowd in this game.
The price of the game is not expensive. The contents of the game is not so much, but it is acceptable in the early access game.
I wish more Alpaca’s rush!
